About Seville
Seville may be famous for oranges, but the beautiful city boasts history, culture, flamenco, jamón jamón and the annual festival, La Feria. The city's main attractions such as the Giralda and the Torre del Oro are fantastic to see but expect to join the tourist crowds.To escape, head south across the river to Triana, the old gypsy quarter and home to Seville's oldest and cheapest tapas bars, not to mention the birthplace of flamenco. Search out the real Seville, here and in the backstreets around the Giralda, and you may be lucky to find the true soul of the city. Follow the sound of the guitar, the soft handclaps and you may happen upon an impromptu and passionate flamenco performance.
Avoid Seville at the height of the summer months. Without the benefits of the coastal breeze the temperatures can exceed 40 degrees celsius so time your visit in the spring or autumn and you will love this beautiful and lively city.

Culture: Climb the Giralda tower for the best view of the city, the Bull Ring and the gardens. Visit the Plaza Espana and experience the epitomy of Moorish revival in Spanish architecture. You may recognise this setting from a few films, Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones being one.
Nightlife: The rooftop bar of the EME Cathedral Hotel is a definite place to be seen in Seville, if you are lucky enough to get past the doorman. Otherwise the streets around Plaza Alfalfa, La Alameda and both banks of the river offer plenty of bars to entertain all tastes.
The Seville Spring Fair: Semana Santa and the Feria – The Seville Spring Fair happens two weeks after Holy Week and the official fair grounds, the Real da la Feria, cover 1.2 million square metres of the city. There is a huge amusement park and pop-up streets of casetas, pavilion tents serving food, drinks and Sevillana music into the city. This is a crazy time in Seville so be prepared for it or avoid this time of year
